I'll not tell about bands that everybody knows, or can easily listen to, so in that spirit I advice you Crisis the album "The hollowing". The front woman is Karyn Crisis, she's the one who sings with Chris Barnes in the song "Sick and Twisted" . Crisis is different and weird, but if you listen carefully you will see it's great. She has a very peculiar voice, which I love. Listen to songs like Kingdoms end, or fires of sorrow, Mechanical man, surviving the siren, a graveyard for bitches, or even different ways of decay.
Another great death metal band, not very known is Sacred sin Listen to their albums "Eye M God" or "Anguish I Harvest"! Other great band is "Process of guilt" they are knew and they are GREAT, listen to the album "Renounce" It's a master piece, and "Erosion". I'll wait for your feed-back ;P

i'll give you the name of one death metal band with lots of atmospheric elements, awesome growls, great riffs, very nice drums and a fantastic fusion with symphonic elements witch sounds very epic. Septicflesh from Greece, very good in my personal opinion. One of my favorite album is Communion.
